Scope and Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Onward Technology Solutions, headquartered in North Fort Myers, Florida, collects, uses, and discloses personal information obtained through its U.S.‑targeted marketing website at onward.solutions (the "Site"). It does not cover data we process as an IT Managed‑Service Provider on behalf of clients; that processing is governed by separate Data‑Processing Agreements.

Information We Collect

Contact Information

  • Examples: Name, business email, phone, organization, job title, message content
  • Source: You provide via webforms, email, phone

Device & Usage Data

  • Examples: IP address (truncated where feasible), browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, timestamps, referring URL
  • Source: Collected automatically via cookies and Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Cookie/Tracking IDs

  • Examples: GA4 _ga and related identifiers; Meta pixel _fbp and _fbc identifiers
  • Source: Placed by the Google Analytics and Meta pixel scripts, only after you accept cookies

How You Found Us

  • Examples: Campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), the referring website, the first page you visited, and your answer to "How did you hear about us?"
  • Source: Kept by your browser in local storage on your device, and sent to us only when you submit a form

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (e.g., SSN, health, precise GPS). The Site is not directed to individuals under 18; if we become aware of data received from a minor, we will delete it.

How We Use Information

  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested information or demos
  • Send marketing communications (newsletters, resources). All emails comply with the CAN‑SPAM Act and include our physical address and an unsubscribe link
  • Analyze Site performance and improve content via GA4 (with IP‑anonymization and Google Signals/Ads Features disabled)
  • Measure the results of our Facebook and Instagram ads with the Meta pixel and Conversions API, only if you accept cookies (see below)
  • Maintain security and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share it only:

  • With service providers under contract, e.g., email‑marketing platform, CRM, GA4 (configured solely as a processor/service provider)
  • With Meta Platforms, only if you accept cookies, as described under Meta Pixel and Conversions API
  • For business transfers (e.g., merger), subject to this Policy
  • When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property
  • With your consent (e.g., testimonials)

The Meta pixel and Conversions API may count as "sharing" for advertising under some state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time: choose Decline on the cookie banner, or use the button under Meta Pixel and Conversions API, which the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of every page leads to. We also honor browser‑level Global Privacy Control signals: when your browser sends one, the Meta pixel does not load and no inquiry is reported to Meta, even if you accepted cookies.

Cookies & First‑Layer Notice

The Site uses cookies only for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. When you first visit, a Cookie Notice banner appears linking to this Policy. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you choose Accept; if you choose Decline, or make no choice, they stay off. You can change your choice at any time (see below), control cookies via browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt‑out add‑on.

Meta Pixel and Conversions API

If you accept cookies, the Site loads the Meta pixel, a script from Meta Platforms, Inc. It sets the _fbp cookie (and _fbc when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram link) and reports your page views to Meta. We use it to measure visits from our Facebook and Instagram ads, and how many of those visits become inquiries.

If you have accepted cookies and then submit a contact form or an assessment, we also report that inquiry to Meta through the Conversions API, a direct connection from our server to Meta. The report includes your email address, phone number and name, each converted to a one‑way SHA‑256 hash before it leaves our server, together with your IP address, browser type, the page address and the Meta cookie values above. Meta uses it to match the inquiry to an ad and to count it once.

Neither runs if you decline, have not made a choice, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. To withdraw your consent, use the button below: your choice is cleared, the page reloads, the cookie banner appears again, and the pixel does not load unless you accept. Cookies Meta has already set remain in your browser until they expire or you clear them.

Your Privacy Rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Virginia, Texas, and other U.S. states with privacy statutes may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or sale/sharing.

We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days (with a one‑time 45‑day extension if reasonably necessary). If we deny your request, you may appeal within 30 days; appeals are decided within 45 days.

We will not retaliate or discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Data Retention

Security Measures

We implement industry‑standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., TLS encryption, MFA, least‑privilege access). We align our controls with recognized frameworks such as SOC 2 Trust Services criteria. No system is 100% secure; if we discover a breach, we will notify affected individuals and authorities as required by law.

International Visitors

The Site is intended for U.S. users. By submitting information from outside the U.S., you acknowledge your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. If you are located in a jurisdiction with data‑transfer restrictions, you should not use this Site.

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Policy. Material changes will be announced via a Site banner and emailed to newsletter subscribers at least 30 days before taking effect. Non‑material updates take effect when posted with an updated "Last Updated" date.
